Nimbin's water supply has been now reinstated to rural customers after flood debris caused it to stop working properly.
Lismore City Council reported this afternoon that "there is a leak that has yet to be located as the rural pipeline line is 8.5 kilometres long and follows a creek for the majority of the length - which is difficult to access in the current conditions".
"The water supply will be monitored closely over the weekend and repairs will be conducted under normal mains break notification procedures when the location is identified.

Lismore City Council have reported this morning that “flood debris appears to be preventing the Nimbin water supply system from operating properly”.
“Crews have been sent out to investigate the situation,” a Council statement said.
“Updates will be posted as further information becomes known.”
