Plenty of smiles for Lismore NetballLismore and District Netball returned on Saturday with plenty of happy faces.

There were plenty of smile at the Lismore Netball Courts on Saturday, with action returning for the 2022 season.

The morning started under overcast skies with damp courts early, before the sun shone through for a dry finish to the first day back.

The NetSet skills session was popular with both boys and girls and is a great way to start in the sport.

Over 30 boys and girls took part in their first NetSet sessions, while the U/10's took to the courts for their first competition games.

Daleys Daffodils and Summerlanders Joeys enjoyed the start of netball again.

The junior competition continued throughout the morning prior to the Intermediates.

The Intermediate competition will consist of 14 teams in 2022 and will be a hotly contested division.

Daleys Dragonflies and Summerlanders Echidnas braved the wet courts to kick off their season.

The Seniors then returned to the courts after an extended break, and will no doubt be feeling a few tired muscles over the coming days.

Daleys, Bundjalarms and SCU all look strong after the first week of grading.

Grading will continue next Saturday before competition is set to commence in May.

The Lismore and District Netball Association Executive and volunteers have done a wonderful job in rallying together to get competitions up and running so soon after losing so much in the recent floods.
