ZAC DAY 2024 - Thursday, 25 April

LISMORE

DAWN SERVICE

The Executive Committee of the City of Lismore Sub-Branch have decided to commemorate ANZAC Day 2025 in Lismore in the following ways:

The traditional Dawn Service will be held at the Lismore Cenotaph commencing at 0500, following the March from the “Old Post Office Corner”. Form up for the march at 0450.

The Lismore City Bowling Club will host a Breakfast for Veterans, families, and community members on the completion of the Dawn Service. Non-veterans is $5 per head.

MAIN MARCH

Commence forming up at Browns Creek Car Park at 0830 for the main march along Molesworth Street, stepping off at 0900, followed by the ANZAC Day Commemorative Service at the Cenotaph. All Veterans within the area are welcome to join the March and Service. 

SYDNEY DAWN SERVICE VIEWING at McKEES HILL

Gather in the McKees Hill Hall at 0420hrs to watch the Sydney Dawn Service, followed by Service & Wreath Laying. Breakfast will be provided at a cost of $10.

NORTH LISMORE WAR MEMORIAL SERVICE

7:45am at the North Lismore War Memorial, Alexandra Parade, North Lismore

CLUNES

9am: Anzac Commemoration Service on the Village Green. Clunes Fire Station will provide catering

NIMBIN

DAWN SERVICE

5.30am: Dawn service at Allsop Park, corner Cullen and Sibley Street, Nimbin

Nimbin Bowlo is open for breakfast from 6am

MAIN MARCH

10.50am: Anzac Day march, muster at 10.40am at the Nimbin Hospital car park followed by the march to the memorial. A late-morning service will commence at the Nimbin District Memorial immediately after the march

ANZAC DAY NORTHERN RIVERS

BANGALOW

March starts at 10.40am from Bangalow Hotel, Byron Street to Station Street, for a short outdoor service at the RSL memorial.   

Bangalow Road Closures From 10:40am - 11:45pm:

• Station Street north of Byron Street
• Byron Street west of Station Street
• Byron Street at the east bound leg of the Granuaille Road and Lismore Road roundabout.

BYRON BAY

Byron Bay RSL Sub-Branch will be holding their ANZAC Day Service this year starting with the Dawn Service at the Memorial Gates at 5.30am to 6am.

After the Dawn Service there will be breakfast at the Byron Bay Services Club at a nominal cost.

The March will start at 10.30am at Apex Park and March to the Memorial Gates, where the service will commence at 10.50am to 11.40am.

Road Closures:

• Tennyson Street and Marvell Street intersection between 4.30am and 5.30am and then again (approximately at 11am) when the parade reaches the gates to conduct the main service.

MULLUMBIMBY   

The Dawn Service is held at 4.30am at the Cenotaph opposite the Ex-Services Club.  

This will be followed by breakfast at the Club. Free to veterans and $10 for non veterans.

The mid-morning march will leave at 10.50am from Apex Park.

A civic service follows directly after the march.

Road Closures:

• Dalley Street closed to traffic between Burringbar Street and Tincogan Street between 8am and 12noon.
• Traffic disruptions will also occur between the Prince Street and Argyle Street intersection and along Burringbar Street between 10.40am-11.00am.

BALLINA

Dawn Service

5:30am at RSL Memorial Park, 1 Grant Street

Main March

Commencing at 10:30am down River Street with the Main Service to begin at 10:55am at RSL Memorial Park.

ALSTONVILLE

Dawn Service

5:30am at Elizabeth Ann Brown Park

Gunfire breakfast from 6:30am at sub-Branch hall for service personnel and their families.

Main March

Assemble at the RSL Hall at Bugden Avenue at 9:40am. There will be a wreath-laying service prior to 9:40am.

The Main Service will begin at 10am at the War Memorial at Elizabeth Brown Park.

CASINO

Dawn Service

Assemble at 5:15am on Canterbury Street at the RSM Club. March to Mafeking Lamp for service at 5:30am.

Day Service

Assemble at 10am in Graham Place for March 1t 10:15am. March will proceed to Casino RSM Club.

Retreat

A short service will be held at 4:55pm at the Mafeking Lamp.

CORAKI

Day Service

Assemble at 9:30am at the Coraki Hotel for the march to the cenotaph in Memorial Park for the service.

EVANS HEAD

Dawn Service

Assemble at 5:20am on Woodburn Street near the bus stop. March to Memorial Park for the service to begin at 5:30am.

Day Service

Assemble on Park Street at 9:45am. March commences from 10am.

BROADWATER

Dawn Service

Assemble at 5:30am at the Broadwater Community Hall for a community service and breakfast.

WOODBURN

Day Service

Assemble at 9:45am at the old Woodburn Post Office and march at 10am to the memorial at Riverside Park.
