Oakey Creek Road at Georgica has been re-opened to traffic after experiencing several delays in the project due to the difficult site conditions and periods of extreme hot weather, Lismore City Council said today.

This project was the result of a landslip during the 2017 flood, and has been a challenging project due to the extent of damage, design issues, costs and unplanned site issues," council said.

The works were completed under contract to council and funded by NSW Government disaster funding.

Lismore City Council thanks residents affected by these works for their perseverance and patience and apologises for the extended inconvenience these works have caused.
