The Lismore Workers Swim Team celebrated another successful season at their annual Presentation Night on Saturday, 17th May, with over 100 guests gathering to honour the achievements of the club’s talented swimmers.
The evening was a joyous occasion, filled with recognition and celebration.
Trophies were awarded to the winners of the Club Championships, Club Night Points Champions, Most-Improved, as well as Encouragement Awards.
A highlight of the night was the presentation of the prestigious Kerrie Wawn Achievement Award to Addison Collins, recognising her dedication, ambition, and exceptional progress throughout the season.
Another major moment was the announcement of the club's 2025/26 Club Captains, as voted by their peers.
Rahni Pope and Rhianna Leahy were named as the new captains, taking over from outgoing leaders Bella Elliot and Harper Myers.
Looking ahead, the Lismore Workers Swim Team is gearing up for a busy winter season.
Starting Friday, 23rd May, a new targeted Race Skills training session will be introduced to the weekly program, providing swimmers of all levels an opportunity to enhance their racing skills in preparation for the summer season.
These sessions, along with the club’s regular training program, offer an ideal platform for local children to develop their swimming abilities ahead of next year’s school carnivals.
The club welcomes new members, with an affordable, flexible fee structure – pay only for the sessions you attend. For more information, visit the club’s Facebook or Instagram pages, or email lwstsecretary@gmail.com.
