The Hinterland Ink tattoo parlour on Ballina Road, Lismore Heights suffered internal damage after a fire was put out by Lismore Fire and Rescue (F&R) early this morning.
Lismore F&R were called to the premises at 2:32am and discovered a minor fire that was extinguished at 3:03am.
Once the fire was brought under control, Lismore F&R handed the scene over to police for investigation which is not uncommon in these situations. The Lismore App has attempted to contact Richmond District Police with no further details available at this stage.
The building was a hairdresser for a long time before changing to a tattoo parlour in November 2020 under the name Ink Atelier by former Lismore nurse Stevi-Lee Alver. A year later there was a name change to Hinterland Ink with the opening on 27 December 2021.
