Revered Australian former professional baseballers Ryan Rowland-Smith and Trent Oeltjen are coming to Lismore.
Rowland-Smith, a pitcher for Major League Baseball clubs Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamonds, and Oeltjen, who played for Major League Baseball clubs Arizona Diamonds and Los Angeles
Dodgers, will host their NxtGen Baseball Camps in Lismore on January 23 and 24.

"We are excited to make the trip to the North Coast and have the opportunity to work with a great baseball community in Lismore. Ages 6-12 of all skill levels are welcome," NxtGen Baseball said on its Facebook page.
"Our camp offers motivational talks from Trent and Ryan, elite instruction from some of the best training techniques in the world, QnA, NxtGen camp shirt, ongoing mentorship from Trent and Ryan and a whole lot of fun and prizes.
"Join us as we hope to educate, instruct and inspire the next generation to be the best they can be both on and off the field."

Oeltjen is one of Australia’s most celebrated baseball players with a professional career spanning 14 years. Trent played Major League Baseball for the LA Dodgers 2010-2012 and Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009. He represented Team Australia at numerous international events, including winning a Silver Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics and The World Baseball Classics.
Rowland-Smith played in Major League Baseball for five seasons and represented Australia numerous times and also was part of the celebrated team that won a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Upon his retirement after the 2017 World Baseball Classic, Rowland-Smith became a baseball television analyst in Seattle, Florida.
