The Goonellabah Workers Sports LJ Hooker League side has added another two wins to their successful weekend of T/20 cricket.

After a win over Marist Brothers on Saturday morning and a 36 run loss to Casino Cavaliers on Saturday afternoon, the side was looking for wins to complete Round 3 and 4.

In the first match on Sunday, GWS bowled out Lennox Head for 94 in just 15 overs, with Reece Gregor claiming 5/16 off 4 overs.

Goonellabah managed to past the small total in just 12 overs, with Jack Cooper opening with 27 off just 9 balls, Sam McLean continued his good form with 29 not out and Nathan Bezrouchko 16 not out.

In the second match of the day against Murwillumbah, the home side compiled 5-131 off their allotted 20 overs.

Jack Cooper then dominated the innings with 108 not out off just 38 balls, hitting ten sixes and nine fours in a total of 1-136 off 10.2 overs.

Bezrouchko (11 runs) and McLean (13 not out) watched on from the non strikers end while Cooper dominated the Murwillumbah attack.

Round 5 and 6 of the competition will take place next Saturday 15 October.
