Trinity Catholic College swimmers qualify for nationals Trinity Catholic College swimming stars Ben Auckram, Harry Kilburn, Beth Lockwood and Sophie Mayes

Trinity Catholic College Lismore swimmers have been working hard through the competition break due to COVID-19.

Trinity students Sophie Mayes, Harry Kilburn and Ben Auckram have all recently set National Age Qualifying Times for the National Championships to be held on the Gold Coast in April 2021.

Kilburn swam a time of 26.18s for the 50m Freestyle and backed it up with a 57.99s for the 100m Freestyle, scrapping in by just 0.02 of a second in the 14 Years Boys.

Mayes has qualified for her first Nationals in the 16 Years Girls with a 50m Freestyle time of 27.48s.

Team mate and fellow student Beth Lockwood, who qualified for the previous Nationals in the 14 Years 50m Freestyle, will look to gain her qualifying times at a Meet on 31 October in Alstonville.

Kilburn, Mayes and Lockwood are all members of the Trinity Swim Club based at the college.

Lismore Workers Swim Club and Trinity Catholic College student Ben Auckram will have a very busy schedule in April with eight National Qualifying times in the S7 Category.

Ben has qualified in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle, 50m and 100m Backstroke and the 50m and 100m Butterfly.
