After a scorching 34-degree day in Lismore, some relief arrives late this evening in the form of a southerly change. That should see temperatures drop to 27/28 degrees over the next few days.
Pat from the Bureau of Meteorology said there is a reasonable chance of Lismore and the Northern Rivers seeing some storm activity this afternoon and this evening with wind, hail and rain likely.
"Currently, the southerly change is pushing up the coast and it's a little way to the south at this stage," Pat told the Lismore App.
The chance of a shower and storm activity will be a potential until Saturday before easing back to a couple of showers.
As is normally the case with storm activity, the forecast rainfall has a range of 0 to 4, 5 or 6mm in the next few days.
"There is a coastal focus this afternoon but the storms will be more widespread tomorrow," Pat said, "We could see places miss out on any rainfall with the heavier falls being storm driven so more isolated in nature."
