Southern Cross University is ready to welcome new students at Orientation Week, the biggest one since the pandemic.
The week-long event (that started yesterday February 27 to March 3) promises to be a treasured experience for new students to help make new friends and get acquainted with their new life at Southern Cross University.
Tuesday, February 28 is the main social event across all three main campuses, with activities ranging from henna tattoos, cuddle sessions with story dogs, typography workshops, taking snaps in the photo booth, and eating your way through the donut walls and food trucks.
“This is our first large-scale Orientation program since the pandemic, and the Orientation team is so excited to welcome our new cohort of students to the University community,” said Student Orientation Coordinator, Ellen Fleeton.
“Orientation is such an essential step in the student journey, where a sense of belonging to their campus is fostered and students can really connect with other like-minded students on a similar journey. We have a jam-packed program of activities and events to ensure our new students are set up for academic success.”
In addition to social activities, the Orientation team has organised a huge range of essential workshops focusing on university resources, student support services, and study tips. Plan your orientation here.
