The Nationals candidate for Lismore at the recent State Election, Austin Curtin, has been unanimously elected chair of the Lismore branch of the party.
"I'm excited for this next chapter in the local Nationals story," Mr Curtin said in a statement.
"We ran a strong campaign leading up to the State Election, and now we'll work hard to ensure our local member delivers on her promises. This new generation of local leadership will continue to make The Nationals a force to be reckoned with."
Jed Lisetto and Dylan Butcher were elected as vice chairmen, and Jay Gibson was elected membership development officer.
"The NSW Nationals are entering our 100th year and even though locally we may have lost the most recent state election by a narrow margin, we are by no means defeated," Mr Curtin said.
"The future is bright for The Nationals in the Northern Rivers, as we continue to fight for our fair share and common sense policies."
