Woman headbutted by cow is flown to hospital

A woman is suffering possible chest injuries after being head butted by a cow at Terania Creek last night.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked at 8pm to a rural property to help the 62 year old woman.

The helicopter was tasked due to the location being difficult to access and the woman was treated by local Ambulance Paramedics before being further stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.

She was transported to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Immediately after returning, the helicopter was again tasked at 2.20am to Bonalbo Hospital to transport a 60 year old female with a medical condition to Gold Coast University Hospital. She was flown direct to the Gold Coast in a critical condition.
