Ten-year-old Willow Hall is set to debut in the Junior Sedans at this weekend's season-opening meeting at The Lismore Speedway.
The Lord Mayor's Cup Meeting will kick off a big season of speedway for Lismore, and the Junior Sedans are set to be one of the closest divisions in 2025/26.
The opening meeting of the season will be the first time Willow Hall takes to the track in race mode after growing up in familiar surroundings.
"Willow has always loved anything with a motor. She got her first motorbike for her first birthday and loved it endlessly. She went from four wheels to two wheels getting a quad and graduating to a peewee 50 from there, she also has a Kubota buggy that she drives around the farm constantly." Mum Jerri said.
"On her ninth birthday. She got a dirt go-kart that she races against her brother around on the farm. For her 10th birthday she received a junior sedan."
Willow’s life at the Speedway track started when she was three months old, with her dad racing a Production Sedan. She was trackside nearly every weekend since and it has been since her life goal was to race Speedway. A dream that could only be realised once she turned 10.
"Willow has had the need for speed since birth. She’s such an adrenaline junkie in every facet of her life. She’s never one to be inside always preferring to be outdoors playing with animals, tinkering with cars or driving around the paddock."
"Willow‘s first ever race is this Saturday, 1 November at Lismore Speedway. She’s incredibly lucky to be sponsored by a group of local businesses in town and is very grateful."
Willow will race with the number 59, emblazoned on the car, the same number her father races with.

Willow will be on track with several other young female drivers which is a wonderful achievement for the Lismore track.
The New Stars currently has 11 nominations, and will include local Hall, Millie Butcher, and Iylah Weller and Shilah Paine.
Erica Robinson, Poppy Airey, Keira Bailey and Ellie Wilson will be amongst the girls in the Top Stars Junior Sedans on Saturday night.
The Lord Mayor's Cup meeting will be the first meeting of the 2025/26 season, and all the first meeting under the new promotors.
The meeting will see V8 Dirt Modifieds, Wingless Sprints, RSA Sedans, Junior Sedans, Microsprints and SSA Street Stocks take to the track from 3:00pm, with gates open from 2:00pm on Saturday.
