A Braeden Williams penalty goal has sealed victory for Lismore over Casino on Saturday.

In an error riddled match, the Lismore side worked hard in the second half to overcome a small deficit at the main break.

Lismore dominated possession and territory for the first 20 minutes of the match but were unable to convert the advantage into points.

Casino were able to capitalise on their first attacking raid, with a try to Jayden Torrens, which he converted for the Bulls to lead 7-0.

Six minutes later, Casino crossed again through Jeremy Pau to lead 12-0.

Cameron Bryant dived over in the 32nd minute for the home side, which was converted by Braeden Williams to reduce the margin to 12-7.

Just two minutes later, Casino scored in the left corner to take a 17-7 lead going into halftime.

Williams crossed in the right corner after a strong individual effort on the stroke of halftime, converting his own try to go to the break 17-14 down.

Lismore took the lead early in the second half after Gavin Tulk scored adjacent to the posts, which Williams converted, only to lose the lead 5 minutes later when the Bulls scored a converted try.

With just minutes left on the clock, Williams kicked a penalty goal to even the scores at 24-24.

Three minutes later, with Williams again stepped up to the kicking tee for the match winning penalty goal, which he nailed to give Lismore its second win of the season.

Next week Lismore will travel to Mallanganee to take on Richmond Range.

In other matches, the SCU Gold Rats rallied in the second half to go down to Lennox Head 38-5, Casuarina defeated Evans River 68-38, Byron Shire had a big 52-12 win over Richmond Range and Wollongbar Alstonville defeated ladder leaders Ballina 51-26.
