With the first weekend in August approaching, the question being asked around the community is will the North Coast regional markets actually be returning after months of a covid-induced hiatus?
The sad news is that the Lismore car boot market won’t be beginning until August 16, but Byron Bay market is scheduled to begin again this Sunday, August 2, with the Channon craft market following on August 9.
With the changing coronavirus situation in our local community, market organisers advise people to check in as the days and weeks go by to see if the situation has changed and the markets are not able to go ahead as planned.

If you don’t know the market schedule, the markets follow a set pattern:
1st Sunday of the month: Lismore car boot and Byron Bay markets
2nd Sunday of the month: Channon craft market
3rd Sunday of the month: Lismore car boot market
4th Sunday of the month: Bangalow market
There are also plenty of other markets on, like the farmers’ markets at the Lismore Showground every Saturday morning, and the organic market every Tuesday at the Showground.
