It's that magical time of year, when those little eyes light up, at the sight of the jolly generous, big man in red, Mr Claus himself!

Santa Claus has made a stop on his pre-Xmas test travels in our very own Lismore City a priority, for every little person who wishes to come along and tell him their very biggest Christmas wish.

Lismore Shopping Square is again hosting Santa Claus for this special time and they have gone all out from the sounds of it, to make this year's event an extra special one. Santa arrives at Lismore Square this Saturday (19 November) at 10:30am.

Lismore Square has posted that "He's talking a list and checking it twice, Santa Claus is coming to Lismore Square!

Join us for a morning filled with fun, including free face painting and stilt walkers, then get your family photo snapped and stay for some Christmas shopping."

For those wanting to get in early and get something local and handmade, the Annual Lismore Anglican Christmas Pop-Up shop is about to 'pop up' again this year in the Lismore CBD thanks to a local business recovering from the floods earlier this year.

Opening on Monday 21 November 2022 at 13 Woodlark Street Lismore the shop will stay open for 3 weeks closing on Friday 10 December.

"Located in the former Taking Shape shop opposite Ray White Real Estate, our volunteers will be on hand selling Christmas gift ideas, Christmas cakes and puddings, homemade jams and pickles, local honey, fresh homemade cakes and biscuits, novelty craft items and an assorted array of plants for the keen gardener".

On December 9th, Koori Mail and a number of Lismore Community Organisations will hold the Koori Creative Christmas at the Koori Kitchen Carpark on Molesworth St, Bundjalung Country.

Caroline Atkinson from Northern Rivers Community Healing Hub, one of the event sponsors, posted on Social Media about the event "We are so excited to announce Koori Creative Christmas This is looking to be a fantastic event, much needed with all we have been through in the community and a beautiful way for us to come together, connect, play and find some joy".

"If you are interested in contributing to this event we have Day Markets/Workshops in the morning from 9.30-3.35. The purpose of the day markets/workshops is a zero-cost activity helping the community to create gifts to place under their Christmas trees."

"We are also having Night Markets arriving at 3.45 to set up for a 4.15 start and shut down at 6pm, would love to see some Koori Market stalls set up selling their wares."
