Just before 11:30 this morning the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance New South Wales to reports of a motorcycle accident at Lillian Rock, north of Nimbin.
Reports were that a male motorcyclist had collided with a sign then fell 3 metres down a embankment.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter located the accident scene prior to the arrival of local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services. The Helicopter was unable to land in the near vicinity of the scene so elected to winch insert the Critical Care Medical Team into the scene.
A 52 year old male was treated and stabilised on scene by the medical team prior to being carried from the local by Emergency personnel then road transported to the Lismore Base Hospital by local Ambulance suffering serious leg injuries.
