Weather Update: still a severe weather warning in place and flood watch

While we have had 96.2mm of rain in the last 24 hours (to 8:30am), spare a thought for our neighbours in the north who have been hit hard.

Murwillumbah received 227mm and Mullumbimby 231mm in the last day.

That does not mean we are out of the firing line with a severe weather warning still issued for the north coast.

Sunday is expected to be relatively wet with the heavy rainfall expected later tonight or more likely in the early hours of Monday morning. Already you can feel the increase in wind from the south, this is predicted to increase to 60-70kmh by tonight and gusting to 90kmh.

The Bureau of Meteorology is saying Lismore can expect between 50 to 120mm on Monday which is why there is still a minor to moderate flood warning for the Wilson River and minor warning for the Richmond River.
