Make the most of the sunshine in the next couple of days because the rain is due to return from Wednesday.
Last week Lismore saw 52mm's hit the gauges with 12mm falling yesterday.
We do have some sunshine today, tomorrow and Wednesday but from Wednesday afternoon the rain clouds will return for the rest of the week.
The heaviest rainfall will be on Thursday with 8-10mm's then the shower activity should ease off to 2-3mm for Friday and into the weekend according to Alex Majchrowski from the Bureau of Meteorology.
However, in a similar pattern to last week, Sunday will see the next front pass through the Northern Rivers in the afternoon or evening bringing another 5-10mm's with it then easing on Monday.
