As we wake to more sunshine this morning following a beautifully warm summers day yesterday, don't let it lull you into a false sense of summer.
The blue sky will once again turn to clouds, rain and possible thunderstorms this afternoon (Weather Radar).
Gabrielle from the Bureau of Meteorology there is a risk of severe thunderstorms as a trough makes it way up to the north east corner of NSW.
"With the ground already wet from last weeks rain, it won't take much to get some localised flooding," Grabrielle said.
The rain won't be as persistent as last week with the main risk for storms being later today and Wednesday where we can expect another 20 to 40mm with another 15 to 25mm on Wednesday.
Will there be more blue sky after the storms?
Probably not, according to Gabrielle. There is the chance of some sun on Thursday but it all depends on what occurs in the next 2 days. More than likely, some light rain will persist leading into the weekend.
