Volunteer shortage – can you help your community?

If you are at home, not working or have time on your hands - and you are not in self-isolation, maybe you can become a much needed volunteer in the Lismore community.

There is currently a shortage of community drivers and volunteers for health services in the region and your support is needed to ensure the Lismore region makes it through this crisis together.

Drivers are now needed to help patients such as those who require transport for kidney dialysis.

Home Assistance and Regional Transport (HART) Services has vacancies for medical transport drivers, social support workers, client assistants and gardeners.

If you are interested, you can phone 6628 8572 or fill in the volunteer form on the HART website http://www.hartservices.org.au/index.php/volunteers

The Red Cross is also looking for volunteers from our strong and caring community, for a range of support roles to ensure continued delivery of services during the COVID-19 crisis.
