Drivers have been urged to exercise caution following a two-vehicle accident on the Bruxner Hwy/Ballina Rd at Goonellabah.

According to Live Traffic NSW, the accident occurred just east of Invercauld Rd about 12:30pm and eastbound traffic is being affected.

NSW Police officers and NSW Ambulance Service paramedics attended the incident.

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said that one person was treated at the scene but refused transport to hospital.

No details were available about the person treated or their injuries.
