UPDATE: Truck and car crash near Alstonville

UPDATE 2:15PM


Some good news from this mornings truck and car accident in Alstonville, the female occupant of the car has only suffered minor injuries, a hand laceration according the NSW Ambulance Service.


It was thought the female passenger, believed to be in her 70's, suffered serious chest injuries but this has now been adjusted after she was assessed at Lismore Base Hospital. Her condition is stable.




UPDATE 10:30AM


The Bruxner Highway is now open and clear following this mornings accident.



ORIGINAL STORY


A truck and car have crashed on the Bruxner Highway near Kays Lane this morning at 8:21am.



The Live Traffic NSW website says that westbound traffic is still moderately affected with a tow truck in attendance.


A spokesperson from the NSW Ambulance Service said there were two people involved with the female driver of the car transported to Lismore Base Hospital by road and the truck driver sustaining a shoulder injury.


There were no more details available at 9:24am.
