Two teenage boys charged following alleged brawl in Casino

Two teenage boys have been charged following an alleged incident in Casino yesterday.


At about 5:15pm yesterday (Friday, 19 April 2024), two teenage boys allegedly armed with a golf club and machete attended a home on Boronia Crescent, Casino, and made a number of threats.



Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended, including the dog unit, and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.


A short time later, police attended a property on Laurel Avenue, Casino, and arrested two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17.



Both boys allegedly attempted to escape from police.


A large crowd gathered at the property, with further police attending and assisting to transport the two teenagers to Casino Police Station.



Both were charged with offences including use offensive weapon in company with intent indictable offence, affray, and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.


Both appeared in a Children's Court today (Saturday, 20 July 2024) and were granted conditional bail to appear in a Children's Court on Friday, 16 August 2024.
