Two car accidents slow down Bruxner Highway traffic

Two traffic accidents on the Bruxner Highway at Goonellabah today saw traffic affected in both directions.

This morning, at 9.15am, a truck with a trailer carrying an excavator was involved in an accident at the roundabout at the intersection of Ballina Rd and Oliver Ave (Pineapple Rd intersection).

Senior Constable Smidt attended the scene this morning and said the truck’s trailer and traffic was affected, causing delays.

Then a two car crash occurred on the same highway at the Richmond Hill turnoff at 11.50am.

“Police, ambulance and the firies attended the scene, but there were no injuries,” Senior Constable Smidt said.

“Traffic was affected in both directions, but the road is open again.”

Drivers are asked to take extra care when travelling along the Bruxner Highway.
