As the Football FNC Men's Premier League Finals approach, teams are looking to gain an advantage over their rivals and cement their positions on the ladder.
South Lismore are currently on top of the table, two points ahead of Richmond Rovers, who have a game in hand.
Alstonville and Byron Bay are locked on 25 competition points in third and fourth spot, but Villa have two games in hand over Byron Bay.
The clash this weekend between Villa and the Goonellabah Hornets will be the match of the round this weekend, with the Hornets (5th) looking to put pressure on the top four.
In other weekend matches, South Lismore, Rovers and Lismore Thistles will all look to take maximum points from their respective matches.
Richmond Rovers and Alstonville will clash in East Lismore on Tuesday night (8:00pm) in an important match for both sides.
In Women's Premier League matches, the top four teams will all look for wins against teams lower on the table.
Alstonville (33pts) , Lennox Head (31pts), Goonellabah (28pts) and Maclean (24pts) lead the way with just three rounds remaining. The Hornets are coming off two wins within the week after defeating Bangalow 3-0 and Maclean 6-1.
