Timbuktu are kicking off the return of The Quad's popular Backyard Music series this Thursday 11 Feb at 5:30pm. 

Go down and enjoy live music free and local in your backyard!

Timbuktu are a Northern Rivers based 7-piece ensemble whose music incorporates elements of vintage 70s African afrobeat, highlife, soukous, Malian blues, ethiofunk, jazz and more.

Featuring original songs and arrangements by guitarist and vocalist Joe O’Keeffe, Timbuktu’s members embark on exciting and deeply funky improvisatory explorations around the globe.

Slate café serving drinks and nibbles from 5.30pm. Bring a picnic rug and groove along to Timbuktu.
