Tight tussles ahead in Football Far North Coast Premier League

There will be several tight tussles in the Football Far North Coast Men's and Women's Premier Leagues this weekend.

On Friday night Richmond Rovers travel east to take on Lennox Head at 8:00pm. Rovers currently sit in 5th position and are closely followed by the Sharks in 6th, with both teams looking for the win to boost their top 4 chances.

Saturday sees Byron Bay host Alstonville, which is a must win game for Villa.

The Villa side had a brilliant preseason, but have not continued that into the start of the season, currently sitting in 7th position with one win, 2 draws and 2 losses to their record.

Goonellabah continue to impress and currently sit in 2nd spot, and will host South Lismore at Weston Park on Saturday.

This match will be the match of the round, with the Celtics sitting just one spot behind in third.

On Sunday down south, Maclean and Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley will play the last match of Round 7.

Ladder leaders Bangalow have the bye.

In Women's Premier League, Alstonville, Rovers and Lennox Head are yet to taste defeat this season.

It is a difficult ladder to interpret, with League 2 also included and several handy teams pushing their higher graded opponents each week.

Until several more rounds are played, the ladder will then show a true indication of were teams sit according to their grading.

On Sunday, Rovers host Shores United in East Lismore, Dunoon United travel to Alstonville and Goonellabah and Lennox Head will play at Weston Park.
