There was not a lot that separated the Men's Premier League matches across the weekend.

On Friday night, Alstonville FC and Richmond Rovers played out a 0-0 draw on the plateau, and Maclean defeated South Lismore 2-1 with Souths lone goal scorer being Ezra Frost. Souths struggled for numbers, only able to name the bare 11 for the match.

On Saturday Lismore Thistles travelled to Byron Bay to take on the Rams but came away without the points after going down 2-1. Kaleb Gooley scored for Thistles in the narrow loss.

There was a very famous spectator at Bangalow, when the Bluedogs took on the Goonellabah Hornets on Saturday with Australian football royalty in Tim Cahill watching on from the sidelines.

Unfortunately for the home side, Cahill presence was not enough, with the Hornets winning another tight contest 1-0.

One match remains in Round 13, with South Lismore travelling to Lennox Head on Tuesday night (7:00pm) looking to take the points on the coast.
