Thunderstorm activity on the way tomorrow as trough arrives

If you didn't get the washing out today or mow the lawn then you may have missed your window for a few days as storms return tomorrow.

There were some thoughts of showers later this afternoon but Helen Kirkup from the Bureau of Meteorology says our neck of the woods in the south east corner should be ok, but keep an eye out.

Throughout tomorrow a trough makes its way over central NSW into our backyard bringing thunderstorm activity with it. The bad news is that this will last until early next week when a cold front moves through bringing drier, cooler air with it and hopefully sunny conditions. We are talking a forecast six to seven days away so take that with a grain of salt.

As for rainfall with tomorrow's storms, we will see a large variance due to the nature of thunderstorm activity so one side of the road could get 2mm while the other gets 20mm.

Wednesday's range is 6 to 15mm, Thursday 10-20mm and Friday 6 to 15mm while the weekend is less with Saturday forecast to bring 0 to 4mm and Sunday maybe 1-2mm.

The summary: get outside now.
