Three more teenagers charged for break and enter in Goonellabah

Operation Mongoose has made further inroads into curbing the recent crime spree in Goonellabah with three teens charged following an investigation into property-related offences in Goonellabah.


On Friday 15 March 2024, police were notified of a break and enter at a property on Philip Street, Goonellabah.



Following extensive inquiries, police from Richmond Police District attended a Goonellabah property about 11.15am on Monday 18 March 2024.


There they arrested two boys, aged 13 and 14, over the alleged property-offences, as well as a 15-year-old boy for an alleged breach of bail.



The younger boy was charged with breach of bail, and aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal.


The 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, and armed with intent commit indictable offence.


Both appeared before a children's court where they were formally refused bail to appear before a children's court on Friday 5 April 2024.



The older boy was charged with breach of bail and was refused bail to appear before a children's court yesterday (Tuesday 19 March 2024).
