There has been a three car collision on Ballina Road off William Blair Ave in Goonellabah causing traffic delays in both directions.

Police and Ambulance onsite attending to victims with minor injuries at this stage.

At around 3.30 pm 000 received multiple calls about a three car collision on Ballina Road off William Blair Avenue.

Police arrived on scene to divert traffic with additional resources required in peak-hour traffic.

All people got out of their cars, no fatalities.

Ambulance attended to a driver of one of the vehicles, the woman suffering a head injury along with another person, aged 18 and 17 were both taken to Lismore Base Hospital and will remain under observation overnight.

The other driver was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Police Station for mandatory testing.

Firies also attended as there was oil on the road.

Ballina Road has now been cleared for traffic.

Drivers are advised to proceed with caution as BOM have also released a hail warning for the Northern Rivers.
