The Weekend Wrap

The first weekend of 2026 will include a shower or two for Lismore and the Northern Rivers.

The BoM is forecasting 0-3mm on Saturday and 0-7mm on Sunday. While this reads like rain is imminent, the likelihood is 25% of 3mm on Saturday and 25% of 7mm on Sunday.

Temperatures will be a pleasant 26 and 29 degrees, respectively.

While the Christmas/New Year holidays are still in full swing, there is little on this weekend.

The Lismore Farmers Markets return tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 7:30am at the Lismore Showgrounds, following their closure last weekend due to the Tropical Fruits New Year's Festival.

Fresh fruit and veggies will be back on sale with other local produce, like beeswax, as well as coffee/tea/juice and breakfast. John Trapp will provide the live music.

If you are looking to entertain the kids, there are a few options with Rollerworld in North Lismore and a movie at the new Lismore Cinema on the list.

Free options include the NRs Rail Trail, Wade Park with the pump track, Heritage Park in the CBD or some beautiful bush walks (Walks) in the hills of Lismore.
