The Weekend Wrap

The first weekend of summer is looking mostly sunny until Sunday afternoon or evening, when showers and a potential thunderstorm will hit Lismore and the Northern Rivers.

As you would expect, it will be a warm weekend, with temperatures around 32 or 33 degrees as minimum temperatures climb once again after some cooler nights.

The weather has ticked the box for Carols in the Heart tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and evening at Crozier Field.

Take your chairs, sunblock and hats and enjoy an afternoon of Christmas Carols with TV and stage star Rachael Beck and some of the region's top musicians, such as Luke Vasella, Isabella A Capella, Bunny Racket and Hillbilly Shank.

Rachael Beck says she plans to perform Christmas favourites with a full band and dancers, and that she will be bringing plenty of humour to the stage. The event will also feature food trucks, drinks, kids entertainment and a major laser light show to close the night.

Gates open at 3pm.
