If you are one of the many whose vehicle was drowned in the recent flood, it might be time to work out where it ended up - whether still on a street or washed down a creek.
Lismore City Council now has rangers out and about trying to re-unite owners of vehicles impacted by the flood disaster - raising concerns of some locals.
A Council spokesperson said rangers will be taking the details of any vehicle that appears to have been left abandoned because of the flood.
"These details will be passed to police who will then contact the owners
"Any flood affected vehicles that are impeding traffic and safe access to our streets will be relocated to a safe place.
"Council thanks the community for its patience and understanding as we continue with flood recovery."
Concerns have been raised on social media about abandoned cars, including:
Will owners be charged for the relocation?
What about cars that have been washed down a creek and no way of getting it out. Will you be charged for the salvage operation as well as the car being a total ride off?
Other people have raised concerns about how some insurance companies have advised car owners not to move them while they wait for an assessment.
The Lismore App will investigate and get back to you.
