The NSW Police Media Unit has told the Lismore App that a person has hit a tree on Terania Street and is trapped in the car.

Terania Street is closed between Tweed Street and Wilson Street, North Lismore.

An excavator has come off the back of a truck in Terania Street causing traffic diversions this afternoon.

Lismore App reader Allan said police, ambulance and NSW Fire and Rescue are in attendance.

Live Traffic shows two heavy traffic indicators between Tweed and Macaulay Street.

It is best to avoid the area.
