A teenage boy has been charged following an investigation into a spate of alleged armed robberies in the Lismore and Goonellabah areas.
On Monday, 19 May 2025, police began an investigation following the alleged robbery of a man on Brewster Street, Lismore.
Between Saturday, 24 May 2025 and Tuesday, 3 June 2025, police commenced inquiries into seven more alleged robbery and attempted robbery incidents they believed were linked.
About 11.40am yesterday (Wednesday, 4 June 2025), police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Phillip Street, Goonellabah, and took him to Lismore Police Station.
There he was charged with 16 offences:
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Thursday, 5 June 2025), where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Friday, 11 July 2025.
