Summerland Christian College ready to learn outdoors

At Summerland Christian College’s first assembly of the year, Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan announced funding of $12,985 for the construction of a new environmental outdoor learning area for the Goonellabah school.

“This is an exciting project developed by the school community,” Mr Hogan said.

“The purpose of the environmental outdoor learning area is to help educate the students on the natural spring next to the college that feeds the Lismore water supply, the Koala corridor that passes through the college and local indigenous environmental perspectives.

“School communities nominated the projects they wanted and the Government stepped up with funding support through the $30.2 million Local Schools Community Fund.”
