A strong field will tee off at the Lismore Workers Golf Club on Monday (28th July) and Tuesday (29th July) for the Lismore leg of the NSW Open Regional Qualifying Series.
The 36-hole tournament has attracted a strong field of 96 golfers from across the country, looking to pocket a portion of the $50,000 in prizemoney as well as valuable points and the opportunity to earn a spot in the NSW Open later in the year.
Lismore Workers Golf Club staff have been working overtime to have the course in perfect condition, with recent rain and further rain forecast across the weekend.
The first group will tee off at 9:04am on Monday, with several locals in with a strong chance of finishing in top spot.
Group 7, teeing off at 10:10am will have plenty of local flavour, with Sam Brazel, Luke and Josh Ryan and Marcus Fraser in the foursome.
Other locals to keep an eye on, on the tough Lismore course include young gun George Jones, veteran Adam Rhodes, Jack Harlen-Robertson and Harry White.
A number of competitors are currently contesting the Teven Valley Regional Open on Friday and Saturday.
Victoria's Ben Henkel led after the first round with an impressive bogey-free -7, a two shot lead over Queenslander Dillon Hart.
Lismore's Sam Brazel is tied in eighth at -2 after the first round at the short Teven course.
The final round of the NSW Open Regional Qualifier at Teven Valley will be broadcast live on Kayo Sports from 12pm-5pm on Saturday.
Tuesday's final round in Lismore will also be broadcast live on Kayo as well.
