The Lismore Storm Women's Basketball side are looking at making an impact in the Finals series.

The team have a break this weekend before travelling south next weekend to take on the Coffs Harbour Suns, who sit in second spot, just one place in front of the Storm.

The Women have returned to the Waratah State League after a long break and have done so with a combined north coast team, with players from Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore joining forces.

Currently, the Storm have 4 wins and 4 losses, sitting behind the Suns and the Canberra Nationals Academy.

The last two games of the regular season will be played at Rosehill at the new Billbergia Indoor Sports Centre, where they will play the Moss Vale magic and the Canberra side.

Ballina's Sasha Oxland, Byron Bay's Josie Josiah and Isis Crawford and Lismore's Makayla Greensill and Chloe Bull has been strong throughout the season for the Storm.

Oxland and Greensill lead the Storm scoring.

The Storm are coming off a last start 67-60 win over the Tamworth Thunderbolts in Lismore.
