Those who drive along Hinterland Way to get to Byron or the M1 are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week to carry out slope stabilisation work just east of the intersection with St Helena Road.
The work will start this Monday, 31 March and will be carried out weekdays from 7am to 5pm with some work possible between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays.
Work is expected to be complete by August, weather permitting.
Single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place on St Helena Road 24/7 for the duration of the work.
A westbound slow lane and shoulder closure with a reduced speed limit of 60km/h will be in place on Hinterland Way 24/7 for the duration of work.
Motorists are advised to allow up to five minutes’ extra travel time, drive to traffic conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
