The NSW SES Lismore Unit was busy last night as the strong westerly winds swept through the region.
Last night, NSW SES volunteers were called out to 2 persons trapped at the top of Mount Nardi, due to large branches falling across the roadway.
Chainsaw Operators made quick work of the job, allowing the persons to return home for dinner.
NSW SES has said volunteers have taped off the road as there are still some dangerous hanging branches and National Parks and Wildlife Services have been informed.
The westerly to northwesterly winds will remain at 15-25 km/h through the day with blue skies and a top of 20 degrees. Similar conditions are expected for Sunday.
