Round 5 and 6 of the LJ Hooker T/20 cricket competition rolls around on Saturday and Goonellabah Workers Sports and Marist Brothers will be looking for victories and Semi Final spots.

Marist Brothers play Alstonville at Mortimer Oval on Saturday at 12:15pm and will then back up to play ladder leaders Cudgen at 3:30pm.

The Brethren struggled last weekend with several players out, including Pat Martin and Ashley Simes and failed to record a victory in their four matches. They will clash with Alstonville who had similar results on the first weekend.

Goonellabah Workers Sports managed three victories from their four matches with Sam McLean and Jack Cooper staring with the bat.

GWS have a strong all around bowling attack, with Kale Hare, Brad Robertson and McLean taking multiple wickets last weekend.

They will clash with Cudgen in what should prove to be a close encounter at Oakes Oval at 12:15pm. The two teams are currently first and second on the T/20 ladder.

GWS will then play Alstonville at 3:30pm.

The Lismore District Cricket Association competition will continue, with all four grades hitting off at 1:00pm.
