While parents are back to work and the kids still have two weeks of school holidays to keep themselves amused, the Far North Coast NSW Table Tennis Association is planning a coaching clinic at the Jim Armstrong Centre in Goonellabah.
Level 1 accredited table tennis coach Julie Burton has seen growing junior numbers attend centre training sessions.
To build on that interest and provide a healthy and safe option for juniors during the current school holiday period, Julie has proposed a two-day coaching clinic, open to both primary and secondary students. You can attend both days or just a single day. All levels and abilities are welcome.
Here are the details:
Date: Monday 22nd and Wednesday 24th January 2024
Time: 8.30 am – 11.30 am each day of the clinic Coach: Julie Burton
Benefits: Fun and meet new friends; undercover all year round and sun safe; learn new skills; can be played by all ages and abilities; general health benefits to mind and body
What to bring: drink bottle & shoes. Equipment and morning tea is supplied.
Location: 202 Oliver Avenue Goonellabah, behind the Lismore Workers Club.
Sessions will include warm-up; off-table games; on-table skill development; footwork drills; match play both singles and doubles; warm down.
Cost: $20 for 2 sessions or $12 per individual session. All sessions include morning tea.
