Rovers and Souths at home in Premier League

Richmond Rovers and South Lismore will both host Premier League clashes in Football Far North Coast fixtures on Saturday.

The two sides clashed in Round 7 last weekend, with South Lismore coming away with a comprehensive 5-2 victory.

On Saturday afternoon, Richmond Rovers, who sit in third place on the ladder, will be looking for a big win over cellar dwellers Ballina to boost the for and against.

Ballina have struggled in their matches this season and Rovers will be looking to attack from the outset.

South Lismore sit in second spot on the ladder behind surprise leaders Lennox Head and will have a harder assignment at the Caniaba Street Field.

The Celtics take on Bangalow, who sit in fourth, after a 1-1 draw with Byron Bay last week.

Souths were impressive last week and will be looking to consolidate their spot near the top of the table.

All Premier League matches scheduled for Saturday will start at 3:00pm.

It has been difficult for all Premier League teams to get a rhythm this season after playing only 3 or 4 matches in the first 7 rounds due to wet weather a ground closures.

In other matches this weekend, Goonellabah played host to Lennox Head on Friday night at Weston Park, Maclean host Byron Bay on Saturday and on Sunday, Villa travel north to tackle Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC.
