Lismore's Inside Centre, Adam Rodd scored two tries for the Greens against Casino, but it was not enough to earn the win on Saturday afternoon in Casino.
The Lismore Rugby First Grade side has not won since 2019 and it looked like this hoodoo was going to be broken with just minutes left on the clock at Albert Park.
Lismore led 25-22 with just 6 minutes left on the clock before Casino's Jayden Torrens weaved his magic to put it out of the visitors reach.
Torrens scored 4 tries and kicked 3 conversions for an individual tally of 26 points in the 36-25 victory.

A try to Tate Bailey after just 10 minutes gave Lismore an early 5-0 lead before Casino levelled it up 5 minutes later at 5-5.
Rodd then snapped a wayward Casino pass out of the air to race away and score, which was converted by Ben Sloane to edge them in front again 12-5.
The Bulls were then able to level up before a Ben Sloane Penalty Goal gave the visitors a slender 15-12 lead.
Torrens was then able to dive over in the left corner as the half time siren sounded for the Bulls to lead 17-15 at the break.

Hooker Johnny Jordan was able to bully his way over the try line thirteen minutes into the second half to give Lismore back the lead 20-17 and five minutes later, Rodd crossed for his second of the afternoon and the momentum was with Lismore at 25-17.
Lismore still held a slender lead 25-22 after a Bulls try was not converted from the sideline with 13 minutes to go.
Unfortunately for the visitors, momentum had swung against them and the lethal Torrens crossed twice in the last 6 minutes to take away the victory.

"We were so close" Club President Peter Everingham said
"The positive to come from this is that the boys got themselves into a winning position, we have not been doing that recently."
"Now we just need to convert this into a win, we are resilient and we are a strong club, it will happen."
