Those who use the Ballina Street Bridge after 6pm are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from tomorrow on the Bruxner Highway at Lismore and South Lismore to carry out road resurfacing work on each side of the bridge.

Work will start tomorrow (Monday, 14 April) from 6pm to 6am for four nights, finishing at 6am on Friday, 18 April, weather permitting.

Single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements, and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and road users.

This work will require the closure of some nearby streets during work hours, including Taylor Street, Elliott Road next to the bridge, the Victoria Lane exit off the bridge, and the southern section of Molesworth Street. Short detours will be available.

Heavy vehicles may experience delays of up to 20 minutes.

Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time, drive to traffic conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
