If you don't shop at The Village Goonellabah you would not know that the Rivers Mega Outlet is open now and has been since last Saturday.

In a very low key opening Assistant Manager Belinda McBurney said the store has been pretty flat out in its first week of trade.

Once again the flood has had an impact with Belinda and the manager unable to travel to Goonellabah due to the floodwaters across the road network so the other employees including Maddie Nicholls have been holding the fort.

"They have been fantastic," Belinda said, "I couldn't have asked for a better team."

Not only has Rivers been impacted by the flood along with their shopfront neighbours The Reject Shop but COVID caused a long delay as the initial opening was slated for October last year. The Reject Shop is planning to open in late April.

What will you find in the Rivers Mega Outlet?

"All Rivers, the men's and women's lines and we've also got the footwear, men's and ladies footwear. We've got brands like Adidas and Uggs for winter. "

"We've also got the sister brands, which are Katie's, Autograph, W.Lane, Millers, Rockmans and Beme."

With a lot of CBD stores closed due to the flood with no reopening date it may be worth a trip to Goonellabah to check out the new Rivers Mega Outlet.

Opening Hours

Rivers is open 7-days a week. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with Tuesday's open until 5:30pm and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
