If you have some spare time over Easter and in the coming weeks, Resilient Lismore would be ecstatic to hear from you.
A lot of volunteers are extremely weary from helping thousands of flood recovery survivors as we head into week 8 of the catastrophic flood on February 28 so this would give them a well-earnt rest.
Simply register at https://www.floodhelpnr.com.au/ and do a quick safety induction that protects you through Resilient Lismore's insurance.
Then rock up to 117 Magellan Street in the CBD, opposite the library to get supplies and directions to those in need.
There is a huge amount of jobs available for all abilities to get home safe, secure and warm for winter including flood mud, mould and debris.
Resilient Lismore is open:
Resilient Lismore (registered charity Lismore Helping Hands) is a community group of volunteers formed in response to the 2017 floods in Northern NSW. They support official authorities in providing information and services towards community resilience, recovery and disaster preparedness. They connect people willing to volunteer or donate with affected residents and businesses to ensure resources are distributed to those in need, when they are needed.
